Registration

Festival registration is available on a first-come, first-serve basis as space is limited. You can register as a school or group. As we work hard to bring in awesome guest artists based on the number of registered participants, registration is non-refundable.

Please note that only students in grades 9-12 are eligible to attend the MA Thespians Festival. There is no longer a middle school track for the MA ThespianS Festival.

Regular registration is open for schools and groups from December 1 through December 21. Registration is $30 per student attendee registered by December 21. Chaperones are $10 each, and we ask that you please bring 1 chaperone for every 15 students. Troupe directors are on us. Once we receive your registration form, we will send you an invoice based on your registration. All payments must be received by February 6 to attend the festival. Regular registration fees can be paid via check, made out to MA Educational Theatre Association. For registering schools you must submit one check as form of payment. Multiple checks or cash will not be accepted.

Late registration is available from December 21, 2020 to January 8, 2021 for $35 per student. All payments for late registrations must be submitted by February 6 upon arrival and can be made via check, PO, or credit card.

Registration includes unlimited workshop participation with professional artists, unlimited Thespys (IEs) in a masterclass setting, scholarship entry for inducted thespians presenting a Thespys, one-act play attendance, and dinner. Schools do not have to enter a one-act to participate in the Thespys and workshops.

ALL REGISTRATION FEES MUST BE RECEIVED BY FEBRUARY 6 AND ARE NON REFUNDABLE.

One-Act & Freestyle Theatre Registration

As an add-on to your festival experience, you may register a one-act or freestyle theatre for adjudication. Our one-act and freestyle theatre slots are limited, and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Registration for both opens September 12 at 9 a.m. and closes once all of our slots are filled. Please note: these slots fill very quickly and are only available to schools with active thespians troupes.

After registering, you must submit a $150 non-refundable entrance fee by November 15 to hold your slot. There is a late fee of $50 for any payment received after November 15. If we have not received payment by December 15, we will offer the slot to one of our schools on the waiting list. This entrance fee is in addition to the per student registration fee, and strictly covers our one-act and freestyle theatre expenses. As we work hard to bring in awesome guest artists to adjudicate, fees are non-refundable.

ALL REGISTRATION FEES MUST BE RECEIVED BY NOVEMBER 15 AND ARE NON REFUNDABLE.

If a one-act or freestyle theatre entrant is unable to participate after December 15, that school will be ineligible to register a one-act at the following year's festival.

Thespys (IE) Registration

Once you have submitted your group's registration, you may register Thespys (IEs) for adjudication. The Thespys (IEs) are limited, and are available on a first come, first serve basis. The registration for Thespys (IEs) is open from December 1 through December 21, 2020.

If you are entering a Thespy (IE), you must complete your regular festival registration before registering for Thespys. Thespys registration closes on December 21, 2020. As we work hard to bring in awesome guest artists to adjudicate, your registration is non-refundable
